My Background

At The Therapeutic Tutor, I am dedicated to helping children thrive both in and out of the classroom. My unique background as a Primary Teacher and SENCO, and a professional holding a certificate in Play Therapy, enables me to provide holistic support that goes beyond traditional tutoring services. From my experience, I know that the best way to ensure progress is to build confidence in the child. Confidence built through a holistic, personal teaching approach means the child is willing to take risks in their learning and these risks enable progression.  I understand that school environments can be overwhelming and can have a long-lasting impact on a child’s self-esteem and confidence. By providing 1 to 1 sessions, I offer a safe space where children can build their skills and feel supported by an experienced practitioner.
